Top 5 Value Stocks To Own Right Now: Celgene Corporation(CELG)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Todd Campbell]

The company is also going to continue early stage research into its CAR-T program, including its work on bb2121, a BCMA-targeting therapy that’s being developed with Celgene (NASDAQ:CELG) for multiple myeloma.

  • [By WWW.THESTREET.COM]

Sometimes you just want to keep a list of stocks that act too well. At the top of the list? Celgene (CELG) . This company had a very good quarter with lots of growth but has been stuck in a range forever. Now it is back to its old self, unlike the other major biotechs, and it’s been soaring. Just plain bothersome not to know.

  • [By WWW.MONEYSHOW.COM]

Celgene (CELG) is not going to be “home run” investment, but I expect it to continue to deliver “singles” every year with an occasional “double” in some years.

Top 5 Value Stocks To Own Right Now: HP Inc.(HPQ)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Peter Graham]

Small cap 3D printing stockStratasys, Ltd (NASDAQ: SSYS)reported Q1 earnings before the market opened this morning that met expectations, but shares are falling as much as 10% in premarket trading given the run-up the stock has already had. Stratasys is the largest U.S. manufacturer of 3D printers by revenue whileHP Inc (NYSE: HPQ), which has recently entered the3D printer market,is already number two. Nevertheless,it appears that 3D printing stockshave at least stabilized as the short interest has largely been cleared out.

  • [By Brian Mathews]

Originally part of the Hewlett-Packard giant, HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) split into two companies: HP Inc. and HP Enterprises. HP Inc. is the company that sells personal computers and printers. Although the demand for PCs has been sluggish over the last year, analysts expect sales to stabilize. However, the biggest growth factor for HPQ is that its split from HP Enterprises has increased its financial flexibility to pursue higher ROI projects that should drive further innovation. Another potential blockbuster opportunity for HPQ is its penetration into the 3D printing market. Although this industry is still in the pioneering stages, HPQ could use this as an opportunity to stake market share. With increased financial flexibility after the breakup, the projection for HPQ is $16 a share in the upcoming year.

Apple stock is currently trading at a PE multiple of 14.09, in line with the valuation multiples of other hardware companies like HP Inc (NYSE:HPQ) and Qualcomm (NSDQ:QCOM). However, the Apple services segment is significantly different from a ‘hardware’ business, whether in terms of operations or associated cost structure. It would, therefore, be more accurate to evaluate the segment as a services business in order to gauge its ‘value.’ Two popular companies which generate a ton of services revenue are Alphabet (NSDQ:GOOGL) and Facebook (NSDQ:FB).

Top 10 Safest Stocks To Invest In 2018: United Parcel Service Inc.(UPS)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By JJ Kinahan]

While we’re on the subject of holiday shopping, the huge influx of online purchases apparently is causing problems for carriers such as United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS) and FedEx Corporation (NYSE: FDX), the Washington Post reported. UPS warned last week that some deliveries would be delayed one or two days as staffers worked extended hours to manage the rush. UPS expects its holiday load to rise 5 percent, to 750 million packages, this holiday season, while FedEx says it’s planning for up to 400 million parcels. Some already had their autonomous car bets made with positions in both Tesla and Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) surmising those will be the big winners. They have good company. Trip Chowdhry of Global Equities Research summed up his thesis for autonomous transportation and transportation in general going forward as Winners: Tesla, Nvidia; and Losers: Mobileye (NYSE:MBLY) and all traditional automakers. All traditional automakers? That’s basically every automaker on the planet besides Tesla and maybe Fisker and BYD (OTCPK:BYDDY), that’s a lot of losers. Trip is a talented analyst. I’ve followed him for many years (see his ranking on TipRanks here). Even for him, that’s a pretty bold statement. It got me thinking, is Tesla’s lead in the race for autonomous cars so great that the race is effectively over? I wanted to find out if I was using traditional methodologies too much, overthinking my picks and missing out on the bigger winner, Tesla.

RBC Capital Markets economists Tom Porcelli andJacob Oubina downplay the Chinese export data:

As a daily theme, the poor trade data out of China was the topic most mentioned today in our various conversations. Apparently this has set off worry about global trade flows. For starters, let’s first draw out a technical point about this data. The China trade balance is reported in not-seasonal-adjusted terms. This is an important point when you consider the month of September (the month for which these data were reported). On a sequential basis September nearly always declines. In fact over the last decade it has declined 70% of the time (and over the entire history for which we have data it has done so nearly two-thirds of the time). Moreover, the recent decline pales in comparison to the last two Sep drops. This is all a long way of saying the decline was simply seasonal. So the fact that this technically unstable September trade report was the catalyst for todays conversation du jour feels sort of silly

Shares of Valeant (NYSE:VRX) jumped more than 14% in pre-market trading yesterday, after the Canadian drug maker announced its long-awaited asset sale plans. The stock later gave away some of its gains after Moody’s released a report stating that the asset sales will not impact its credit rating or outlook, though Valeant’s bond prices jumped by 4.5%. Valeant is a classic example of a shareholder value destroyer. Once the darling of Wall Street, the stock has lost more than 90% of its value since its peak in 2014 and is down by more 80% in the last one year. The stock has dragged portfolios of the likes of Bill Ackman and Prof. Aswath Damodaran. However, the asset saleprovides a ray of hope for Valeant’s shareholders.

Lockheed Martin (LMT) Earnings: Bring F-35 Costs Down

LMT had been in the presidential spotlight lately due to the cost of its F-35 stealth fighter jet program. The company worked with President Trump, who called the jet “overtly expensive”, to reduce expenses and bagged a multi-billion dollar Department of Defense order for 90 of the jets. LMT’s aeronautics division accounted for roughly 40% of its sales in the last quarter.

As we’ve learned with Boeing (BA) , Lockheed Martin (LMT) , General Motors (GM) and countless others, the correct response is to start buying.

This is not the first time Trump has been critical of drugmakers and drug pricing. But the fact remains that to make any substantive changes, the President will need Congress, and Congress’ track record against drug companies clearly shows that this is a battle that cannot be won.

Top 5 Value Stocks To Watch For 2018: Broadcom Corporation(BRCM)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Shauna O’Brien]

Susquehanna reported on Tuesday that it has raised its rating on Broadcom Corporation (BRCM).

The firm has upgraded BRCM from “Neutral” to “Positive,” and has lifted the company’s price target from $33 to $35. This price target suggests a 23% upside from the stock’s current price of $26.91.

Analyst Chris Caso commented: “Our downgrade of BRCM in May was predicated on already high Street expectations on handsets and no notable improvement in networking to drive upside. We think expectations and the stock price have now been sufficiently reset ahead of what we expect to be catalysts in 2014 including the iPhone 6 product cycle, potential improvement in networking and the impact from the recent Renesas acquisition. In addition, after several years of overspending on their handset initiatives, we think we are now closer to the point where the company either captures a return on that investment or is forced to moderate spending either of which benefit profitability. We see the upcoming December analyst meeting as a potential intermediate catalyst.”

Broadcom shares were up 38 cents, or 1.41%, during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is down 19% YTD.
