Best Safest Stocks To Invest In Right Now

ArcelorMittal (NYSE:MT) has recovered remarkably on the market despite announcing mixed results on November 8. Though the company was able to beat the bottom line estimate comfortably, it had missed Wall Street’s revenue estimate by a huge figure of $670 million due to lower sales. At the same time, ArcelorMittal warned that steel prices in the U.S. could take a beating on account of lower demand, while higher coking coal costs will reduce profitability.

But, on the same day, after it was confirmed that the next government in the U.S. will be led by Donald Trump, ArcelorMittal shares started making a comeback. In fact, the stock has erased all the losses that it saw after a largely negative quarterly report, which is not surprising if we consider the possible improvements in the steel market in the U.S. under a Trump presidency. Let’s take a look.

ArcelorMittal shouldn’t be afraid of lower pricing

Under a Trump presidency, steel companies in the U.S. are anticipated to benefit from two factors – higher demand for steel due to aggressive infrastructure investments and less competition from cheap Chinese steel. As far as the first factor is concerned, Donald Trump has pledged to invest up to $1 trillion in infrastructure over the next decade, driven by an increase in public-private partnerships to speed up development.

Enter CVR Partners LP (NYSE: UAN), the only company in the US to produce fertilizer from petroleum coke (petcoke). Petcoke is a byproduct of petroleum refining, and prices are usually set off coal prices, since these two products compete in the same niche. Thus the same dynamics that currently threaten the distributions of Rentech Nitrogen Partners and Terra Nitrogen Company play in CVR Partners’ favor.

For example,ViiV Healthcare, a joint venture spearheaded by GlaxoSmithKline(NYSE:GSK), is actively pursuing new HIV therapies that could make it more difficult for Gilead Sciences to maintain its market share dominance. Best Safest Stocks To Invest In Right Now: Cummins Inc.(CMI)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By WWW.THESTREET.COM]

There are lots of stories like that out there these days. People were perplexed about the Illinois Tool Works (ITW) and Cummins Engine (CMI) and Caterpillar (CAT) quarters, but they turned out to be classic buying opportunities after years of being sell opportunities if the stocks had run. I can’t explain to you how amazing that is. Here are three stocks that have spent months and months in purgatory when they have missed or guided down or slashed forecasts. Now they are up gigantically.

The S&P 500 stock posting the largest daily percentage loss ahead of the close Friday was Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) which traded down about 5% at $159.44. The stocks 52-week range is $134.06 to $181.79. Volume was over 3.5 million versus the daily average of 1.2 million shares.

Ever walk past a construction site? It’s hard not to be enthralled by all the heavy construction machinery moving things around. With the world’s developing economies still building at a relatively fast pace and developing economies, like the United States, in desperate need of upgrading their aging infrastructure, the companies behind that construction machinery could be just as exciting as a construction site in the years ahead. Which is why Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT), Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI), and Terex Corporation (NYSE:TEX) are three of the top construction machinery stocks to look at right now.

Making mining equipment has been a horrible business over the last few years. The industry has been hard-hit by the spending cutbacks at mine sites around the world. For example, BHP Billiton Limited trimmed its capital exploration expenditures by roughly 70% between fiscal 2013 and 2016. No wonder Caterpillar Inc. (NYSE:CAT), Komatsu Ltd. (NASDAQOTH:KMTUY), and Cummins Inc. (NYSE:CMI) have been hurting. Only that looks like it’s starting to change, which means this trio could be at the top of a list of mining equipment companies to buy in 2017.

Top 10 Bank Stocks To Buy For 2018: 8point3 Energy Partners LP(CAFD)

Advisors’ Opinion:

If the Suniva noise is removed, the firm believes First Solar stock becomes a fundamental story of execution and long-term share gains. The firm also noted that the company has found success selling off projects to third parties, as intended, with the management seeing more value in selling to third-parties rather than to 8Point3 Energy Partners LP (NASDAQ: CAFD).

Leading the charge are two yieldcos — NextEra Energy Partners (NYSE:NEP) and 8point3 Energy Partners (NASDAQ:CAFD) — and utility company AES Corporation (NYSE:AES). Here’s a look at why they’re good dividend stocks to own today.

  • [By J.B. Maverick]

Recently added in January 2016 to the "strong buy" list at Zacks Investment Research, 8point3 Energy Partners LP (NASDAQ: CAFD) is a subsidiary firm with the support of major solar power companies SunPower and First Solar, and plenty of cash to fund 2016 growth projects. It should be well positioned to move forward in its business of acquiring and operating solar energy generation projects. In late January 2016, the stock is trading at $16.45, in the middle of its 52-week range of $10.26 to $21.15. The stock offers a dividend yield of 2.39%. It has been in a general uptrend since October 2015. Year to date in 2016, the stock is down 2.97%, which means it is weathering the market storm better than many other firms. With the backing of First Solar and SunPower, and a partnership agreement with Wells Fargo, 8point3 is in a stronger industry position than the majority of alternative energy companies.

Axiom Capital Management’s Gordon Johnson made a startling comparison this week, saying that yieldco 8point3 Energy Partners (NASDAQ:CAFD) looks a lot like the now bankrupt SunEdison and the recently bailed-out SolarCity. Top 10 Bank Stocks To Buy For 2018: Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc.(GMCR)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By David Sterman]

But for short sellers in Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (Nasdaq: GMCR), there's another outcome: They've been badly burned as shares have surged, but they insist they've been right all along, and it's only a matter of time before the stock crashes and burns.

  • [By Canadian Value]

So Im going to stick my next out and share my views on four battleground stocks that are among my favorite shorts: World Acceptance (WRLD), Green Mountain (GMCR), Herbalife (HLF), and InterOil (IOC). And next week at the Value Investing Congress I will present another short, my largest.

  • [By Jonas Elmerraji]

As badly as short sellers want to hate on Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), betting against the multiyear rally in this $12.7 billion beverage stock has been about as wise as eating from a box with a skull and crossbones on it. And as a bull market continues to lift all ships, Green Mountain’s ship is going to keep floating above the others.

Green Mountain owns Keurig, the brand of beverage brewers that use self-contained K-Cups to make coffee, teas, and other drinks. While Keurig’s “fad” status has certainly helped tip the deck against GMCR, the fact remains that the firm has done most of the hard work in getting Keurig machines accepted by consumers. With brewers essentially ubiquitous at this point, the firm is able to make money on its cash cow: the K-Cups.

Keurig’s individual-serving cups have big margins and a big installed base. With huge convenience and the relatively large sunk cost that consumers have put into their Keurig machines, it’s a sticky business with big switching costs. Consumers who buy a Keurig are much less likely to spend the money on a competing brand of proprietary coffee pods.

I’ve said before that GMCR is far from cheap right now. But its momentum trajectory is showing few signs of fizzling out, especially as direct competitors such as Starbucks (SBUX) continue to sell K-Cups of their own. Don’t bet against GMCR in September – buy this Rocket Stock instead.

Most tech companies opt to have the dual class structure with the primary motive of retaining voting control. Facebook Inc (NASDAQ: FB), Zynga Inc (NASDAQ: ZNGA), Groupon Inc (NASDAQ: GRPN) and Box Inc (NYSE: BOX) are a few companies who went the dual class stock structure way.

IPOs like Snap are a rare breed. In looking for companies comparable to it, I looked for listings that sported a post-IPO valuation above $5 billion, went pubic after 2010, and employ a consumer-facing business model. This resulted in an admittedly small sample of highly hyped tech IPOs including Facebook (NASDAQ:FB), Twitter (NYSE:TWTR), Groupon (NASDAQ:GRPN), and Zynga (NASDAQ:ZNGA). For transparency’s sake, I opted to not include Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba in this list because its geographic focus and scale made it fundamentally different than the above tech IPOs, although including it wouldn’t have changed the outcome of this analysis.

Top 10 High Tech Stocks To Watch Right Now: Suzuki Motor Corporation (SZKMY)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

Elon has plans for a Gigafactory 3 somewhere in the US unlike the Gigafactory in Europe. If Tesla can get just two Gigafactories built, it will have the batteries at least to produce vehicles at about the same scale as Suzuki (OTCPK:SZKMY) (Suzuki made about 3mm autos in 2015). In fact, Tesla hopes to have the Gigafactory running flat out by 2020, supplying 3X the number of batteries it needs unless it can ramp production into 2020 further. These batteries will be used on the Tesla Power Walls and other power containment devices it has in its pipeline, but it sure seems that Tesla can ramp its auto production past the 500k units per year in 2019 and 2020. At the very least, it will likely have the batteries to do so.

Top 10 Warren Buffett Stocks To Invest In 2018

Warren Buffett (Trades, Portfolio)’s annual letter to shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B) was released last weekend, and as usual, Wall Street has spent the last few days dissecting the letter for any guidance and tips from the Oracle of Omaha on investing and strategy.

Buffett’s letter to investors has become somewhat of a yearly investment bible for value investors, and it always contains some interesting nuggets of information – not necessarily about investing.

In this year’s letter, Buffett struck a relatively upbeat tone, noting that he believes the outlook for stocks is positive despite having Donald Trump in the White House, political risk growing around the world and rising valuations.

Aside from Buffett’s commentary on the markets, there are two paragraphs in this year’s annual letter that stand out to me for reasons that will become apparent. These paragraphs do not concern the general process of investing, market values or potential investments. Indeed, they are related to Berkshire’s method of accounting.

After causing the company to record a loss on its investment last quarter, the DCP Midstream investment was back in the green this quarter, benefiting from hedging and lower costs. Meanwhile, the company’s other MLP investment, Phillips 66 Partners (NYSE:PSXP), delivered another steady quarter thanks to that entity’s focus on owning stable fee-based assets.

Top 10 Warren Buffett Stocks To Invest In 2018: Viva Entertainment Group (OTTV)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Matthew Briar]

Most consumers broadly, vaguely know that so-called over-the-top television services like Hulu and Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) are slowly chipping away at traditional cable television service providers. But, the full extent of this paradigm shift may not have been fully appreciated until Paywizard published some jaw-dropping statistics about just how fast the OTT sliver of the television market was growing. Perhaps even more compelling to current and would-be owners of Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) is how possible it was for an unestablished name to break into the over-the-top television market and steal business before Netflix and Hulu even get a chance to win it.

As suggested, Viva Entertainment Group is an OTT play, but not in the conventional sense. In short, Viva Entertainment Group will allow anyone to get into the subscription-based IPTV game with their own customized version of an over-the-top service if they don’t have the technology necessary to create their own over-the-top service. See, Viva Entertainment Group is the name behind Viva Middleware… a white label app that any third party can utilize as a means of selling OTT, IPTV services to their crowd of users as a means of generating revenue.

There are multiple advantages to this platform and arrangement, including a custom-built product that can effectively target a particular demographic. Case in point? In August, OTTV entered a joint venture with Oi2 Media to create an OTT product catering to the Latino market. Oi2 Media is the United States’ biggest distributor of Latino-centric digital content, offering both music and television. It’s the name behind CNN en Espanol and ESPN Deportes Radio, just to name a few. It wouldn’t be out of line to call the joint venture something along the lines of a Latino Netflix, but with a variety of channel broadcasts — some live — along with the digital broadcasts of hundreds of Latino radio stations.

    That degree of cus

  • [By Matthew Briar]

How does the old saying go? The enemy of my enemy is my friend? Not that there was ever any animosity among the players in the arena, but there’s no denying that two heads — two experienced heads — are better than one for any organization that’s trying to beat Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) at its own game. That’s why Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) CEO Johnny Falcones wanted Thomas Ashley, founder of competing over-the-top television venue FlixFling, on the OTTV Board of Directors… he knows exactly what Viva Entertainment Group is trying to do, and he knows a thing or two about how to do it.

The product is called Viva Middleware, which in simplest terms is a turn-key technology that allows anyone to get into the over-the-top (OTT) business with their own customized over-the-top television service. Live broadcasts, on-demand, music channels and original programming are all possible. This means they can customize the product locally or regionally, or thematically, like an all-sports or an all sci-fi venue. The possibilities are endless, which is in stark contrast to Netflix’s “what you get is what you get” approach.

The product is technically still in beta mode, though it is ready for “prime time,” so to speak. On December 13th, at the Riviera Hotel in South Beach Miami, OTTV will be hosting a launch party to debut its Viva OTT platform. Not only will the event give guests a chance to see and use the over-the-top television platform, they’ll be dazzled by performances by Soleil J and Jorge Moreno.

That said, it’s important to note that Viva Entertainment Group already has clients. In August the company announced it was entering a joint venture with Oi2 Media to create an OTT product catering to a specific segment of the nation’s demographic.

Don’t look for any news to explain the big 73% surge Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) dished out on Monday – you won’t find it, because there wasn’t any. Rather, OTTV shares popped all on their own.

The knee-jerk reaction may be to presume OTTV stock is destined to roll back just as quickly as the rally materialized. And, that may well be what’s in the cards. Before looking past Viva Entertainment Group as an investment opportunity that’s dead money until further notice though, Monday’s mostly-overlooked action may be a huge bullish clue.

For the unfamiliar, the company’s product is called Viva Middleware. The software/platform allows anyone to get into the over-the-top television business like Netflix and Hulu already are. Telecom service providers, media websites, universities, and pretty much anyone else can custom-build their own IPTV service, and collect subscription fees and/or ad revenue for doing so. Viva does all the back-end work, while the seller collects the customers.

The trick is simply filling the pipeline with content, and at the same time, convincing customers that there’s enough quality content at the source to become a paying subscriber. And in this case, the fact that the app works on any operating system or any device is a key selling feature.

Viva Entertainment Group has already been curating content for a while now, and has a nice library including a huge number of radio stations.

The stock, though, hasn’t exactly been rewarding even though the company’s back-story has been compelling. That paradigm shift may have changed on Monday.

Take a look. Out of nowhere, a ton of volume materialized on Monday… most of it bullish. There’s still a ton of ground left to make up, to be sure, but this is interesting. There was far more buying than selling on Monday, on HUGE volume. Why the sudden interest in buying a beaten-down OTTV? That’s the point. For one reason or another, the mood/rheto

Everything that Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) was offering via its app as of yesterday just got expanded today. Per this morning’s press release, all the digital content from FlixFling is going to be available on the Viva over-the-top television (and music) streaming platform.

Viva Entertainment Group has already been curating content for a while now, and has a nice library including a huge number of radio stations. That content took a huge leap forward today, however, with FlixFling being added to the mix.

If it rings a bell for OTTV shareholders, it should. FlixFling is streaming media company started by Thomas Ashley, who just so happened to join the OTTV Board of Directors last week.

FlixFling is an online video-on-demand content provider specializing in new, previously released and classic movies from most major studios. Customers can watch thousands of movie selections on an easy, flexible interface from your favorite devices or connected TV. FlixFling brings a new and exciting movie content viewing experience to customers who can’t find what they want through other online video rental sites; FlixFling has access to new releases quicker than Hulu or Netflix, Inc. It’s almost here. Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) is about to unveil its long-awaited over-the-top (OTT) television platform that’s poised to disrupt the entire television industry even more than it’s already been up-ended.

And it’s going to debut that technology in style.

The product is called Viva Middleware, which in simplest terms is a turn-key technology that allows anyone to get into the OTT business with their own customized over-the-top television service. Live broadcasts, on-demand, music channels and original programming are all possible. This means they can customize the product locally or regionally, or thematically, like an all-sports or an all sci-fi venue. The possibilities are endless, which is in stark contrast to Netflix’s “what you get is what you get” approach.

And Viva Entertainment Group already has clients. In August the company announced it was entering a joint venture with Oi2 Media to create an OTT product catering to a specific segment of the nation’s demographic.

Oi2 Media is the United States’ biggest distributor of Latino-centric digital content, offering both music and television. It’s not just a Netflix-like service Oi2 and Viva will be providing, however. The Viva platform can serve as a robust alternative to cable television service, much of which is delivered in English and is therefore unusable to much of the Latino/Hispanic community.

It’s no small market either. Portada recently estimated that the Hispanic online-video ad market alone would be worth $425 million by 2020, pointing to the greater segmentation of the video market now that advancements in technology have made it possible. A

If Viva Entertainment Group Inc (OTCMKTS:OTTV) seems a little perkier than usual today, you’re not imagining things – it is. At first glance it would be easy to conclude it was yesterday afternoon’s news that prodded OTTV a bit, and maybe that’s got something to do with it. More than anything though, the extra spring in the stock’s step most likely has to do with the fact that the company is hosting a pre-launch party this evening, and traders are (understandably) thinking tomorrow could be a very big day for Viva Entertainment Group shares.

If it vaguely rings a bell, that may be because the company announced the event back in mid-November, mentioning there would be special performances by Grammy Award winner Jorge Moreno, and SMG/SONY RED recording artist Soleil J. Guests would also be able to try out the over-the-top television service Viva has built right at the party. Once those attendees see first-hand what a game-changer the platform could be, odds are good they’ll want to invest the next chance they get. That would be Wednesday morning. Waiting until then, however, could be too late, so savvy traders are trickling in now.

As a refresher, Viva Middleware is a turn-key technology that allows anyone to get into the OTT business with their own customized over-the-top television service. Live broadcasts, on-demand, music channels and original programming are all possible. This means they can customize the product locally or regionally, or thematically, like an all-sports or an all sci-fi venue. The possibilities are endless, which is in stark contrast to Netflix’s “what you get is what you get” approach.

Viva Entertainment Group has been putting the pieces of the puzzle together all year long…. technology, personnel, clients, content.

The latest of the personnel additions was announced on Monday -Mr. Rory Conaway is now on the OTTV Board of Directors.

It’s a nice pickup. Rory Conaway has been in the IT and Wireless I

Merck could achieve a consistent advantage versus BMS in treatment of 1L NSCLC. There is a precise crossroad that will determine the future of these two companies in this field: the question of whether or not Keytruda will be approved in May. Both the market and investors believe that it will indeed gain approval and BMS’s stock is already paying for that. In the short term, the repercussions will be the contractions in the sales of Opdivo in 2L and a bigger obstacle for Opdivo+Yervoy in 1L. But the BMS’s combo can catch up, thanks to a bigger efficacy, as I will explain in a future article. Meanwhile, a recent trial established that Merck has to pay BMS $625M plus royalties, as it infringed BMS’s intellectual property related to the use of anti-PD1 antibodies. The royalties will be 6.5% for sales between January 2017 and the end of 2023, followed by a 2.5% rate for the period from January 2024 to the end of 2026. Bristol-Myers Squibb will share the money by giving a quarter of the amount to the Japanese Ono Pharmaceutical (OTC:OPHLF), the company which had discovered Opdivo.

Apple stock is currently trading at a PE multiple of 14.09, in line with the valuation multiples of other hardware companies like HP Inc (NYSE:HPQ) and Qualcomm (NSDQ:QCOM). However, the Apple services segment is significantly different from a ‘hardware’ business, whether in terms of operations or associated cost structure. It would, therefore, be more accurate to evaluate the segment as a services business in order to gauge its ‘value.’ Two popular companies which generate a ton of services revenue are Alphabet (NSDQ:GOOGL) and Facebook (NSDQ:FB).

That being the case, it wouldnt take substantial market share gains for AMD to reverse the multi-year decline in its processor business, as performance/watt is what will drive adoption from key PC makers like Dell, HP Inc (NYSE:HPQ)and Lenovo. AMD hasnt been very competitive in the MPU (microprocessor unit) segment for quite a while, but given the recent node shift to 14nm FinFET over at GlobalFoundries, and mention of new architecture by AMD earlier this year at COMPUTEX Taiwan, I get the impression that performance of Summit Ridge, i.e. Zen will match Skylake and will perhaps come in slightly slower than Kaby Lake.

Our new silver price forecast for 2017 shows prices moving higher, despite headwinds in the short term. In fact, we see silver prices climbing by double digits in the next six months…

Some of these headwinds include a rallying dollar and an inflated stock market, according to Money Morning Resource Specialist Peter Krauth.

“The investing herd has been flocking to these asset classes,” he said, “discarding silver along the way.”

But silver is also largely undervalued right now, Krauth says. The gold-silver ratio is currently at 70, which means that it takes nearly 70 ounces of silver to buy one gold ounce. According to Kitco, this ratio is up from 55 nearly five years ago. That suggests silver’s value has been depressed for some time.

Best Safest Stocks To Watch For 2018

“When you are unshakeable, you make smart decisions,” says entrepreneur, philanthropist and New York Times best-selling author Tony Robbins to TheStreet.

But investing correctly also has a lot to do with your mindset.

Robbins says it’s nearly impossible to be angry or fearful when you’re grateful. And making more money is not the answer, nor is it the path to gratitude. Controlling your mind and focusing on what’s important is the key to happiness, says Robbins.

You can train your brain to be grateful, he says.

“There are two things that mess up your relationships, it’s anger and fear,” explains Robbins. Robbins points to Salesforce (CRM) CEO Marc Benioff as being a total giver, which has set him up for success in business.

Top 10 Stocks To Buy For 2018

Each and every year, I run across countless individuals who foolishly pass up the opportunity to shift money from a taxable account to a tax-free accountall without increasing their tax bill. This is generally a big mistake. It may not make or break your retirement, but most long-term financial success comes not as the result of one or two really good big decisions, but rather, by taking small, but consistently positive steps.

Roth individual retirement accounts can be powerful tools. They allow you to put money aside today that can grow tax-free for the remainder of your lifetime, and there are no required minimum distributions, as there are for traditional IRAs. Of course, nothing worth having in life comes without a cost, and the Roth IRA is no exception. In order to get money into the future tax- and RMD-free haven that is the Roth IRA, you have to pay tax on the funds that go into the Roth IRA before they go into the Roth IRA.

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Shauna O’Brien]

Jefferies announced on Tuesday that it has upgraded Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PEG).

The firm has lifted its rating on PEG from “Hold” to “Buy,” and has raised the company’s price target from $36 to $37. This price target suggests a 12% increase from the stock’s current price of $32.42.

Analyst Paul Fremont commented: “We are upgrading to Buy based on the improving outlook for regulatory approval of the company’s “Energy Strong” capital spending program.

“Each $1.0 billion of incremental spending will add an estimated $0.10 to PEG’s earnings. We assume that incremental spending is funded by debt and by incremental cash expected from the increasing gas basis differential between the Leidy hub and New Jersey. Our new estimates are considerably higher than consensus in 2014-16.”

Public Service Enterprise Group shares were mostly flat during pre-market trading Tuesday. The stock is up 6% YTD.
