When they imagine how their divorce negotiations will go, couples tend to think about the largest marital assets first. They usually discuss who’ll get the houses, cars, furniture, and other tangible items. Then, they deliberate over how cash balances can be split. Spousal and/or child support may take time to hash out, but it is never overlooked; on the contrary, pursuing or avoiding it may consume most of the time at the negotiating table.

However, some aspects of the division of marital assets can fall through the cracks, particularly when a woman doesn’t have a qualified divorce financial advisor on her team to guide the process. In some cases, certain marital assets are overlooked because they, or the steps required to divide them, are significantly complicated. In other cases, it’s because of potential future circumstances that nobody thinks to plan for. Either way, divorcing women—many of whom are still, unfortunately, less savvy about finances than their husbands—frequently find themselves at a disadvantage.

Total revenueincreased 2% to $111.6 million which consisted of $86.6 million of service revenue and $25.0 million of revenue related to equipment sales and engineering and support projects.Service revenue, which represents primarily recurring revenue from Iridium’s growing subscriber base, grew 4% and was 78% of total revenue. top stocks invest now: Nu Skin Enterprises Inc.(NUS)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Craig Jones]

Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) is trading sharply higher on Friday, but options traders are buying puts in the name, said Jon Najarian. Traders were buying the June 50 puts and they paid around 6 percent for them, so they don't see much upside in Nu Skin Enterprises, explained Najarian. He followed the trade and he is planning to hold the position for a month.

  • [By Roberto Pedone]

Nu Skin Enterprises (NUS) is a direct selling company, which develops and distributes personal care products and nutritional supplements that are sold under the Nu Skin and Pharmanex brands. This stock closed up 5.4% at $92.96 in Monday’s trading session.

    Monday’s Volume: 2 million

    Three-Month Average Volume: 900,802

    Volume % Change: 85%

From a technical perspective, NUS ripped higher here right above some near-term support at $85 with heavy upside volume. This move pushed shares of NUS into breakout and new 52-week-high territory, since the stock took out some near-term overhead resistance levels at $88.20 to $89.69. This move also pushed shares of NUS above the upper-end of its recent range that saw the stock trend between $82 to just above $89.

Traders should now look for long-biased trades in NUS as long as it’s trending above support at $85 and then once it sustains a move or close above Monday’s high of $93.33 with volume that this near or above 900,802 shares. If we get that move soon, then NUS will set up to enter new 52-week-high territory, which is bullish technical price action. Some possible upside targets off that move are $100 to $105.

  • [By Scott Rubin]

Stock gainers included Mercadolibre Inc (NASDAQ: MELI), up almost 14 percent, and Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS), which added 12 percent. The positive gains in both stocks were due to strong earnings reports. Shares of Liberty Interactive Group (NASDAQ: QVCA) plunged almost 22 percent on Friday due to disappointing sales growth in its fiscal second quarter. Pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb Co (NYSE: BMY) lost 16 percent after a disappointing study involving its Opdivo drug.

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

Citigroup’s Beth Kite calls Nu Skin Enterprises’ (NUS) earnings and guidance “awfully disappointing.” She explains why:

“Frustrating” Describes 4Q15 & 2016 Guidance:Nu Skin (i) reported 4Q15 EPS of $0.62, 11 cents below consensus and us, and (ii) lowered 2016 EPS guidance, from $3.25-$3.40 to $2.40-$2.60.Nu Skin had three LTO’s in 4Q152 succeeded and 1 failed. The failure had far less to do with the product than with the sales strategy…

Is Guidance Too Conservative or Is It Really This Bad? We get that Me failed to sell well in South Korea with the 12-month cartridge commitment. But given the strength in reps globally, the strength of Youth from its two LTOs in 2H15, and good results from Me when sold in Japan without the 12-month commitment, we wonder if guidance is aggressive to the downside. Indeed, the word “conservative” was said a lot by mgmt on the brief earnings call when describing guidance revisions.

Maintaining Buy: While we now have less confidence in mgmt, from an external perspective, to forecast its results accurately, and from an internal perspective, to course correct quicklyi.e., why didn’t they drop the 12-month plan for Me in South Korea when it so obviously wasn’t workingwe are still confident in Youth & Me. The rep growth in South Asia/Pacific from Youth in 3Q led to better 4Q sales than we’d expected, Youth’s Americas LTO in 4Q drove lc sales up 26% YoY, and Me not only sold through in Japan in 4Q but also drove reps higher. We imagine that investors may have little patience or confidence in Nu Skin for a while, understandably. But the bar seems set fairly low now, so we are cautiously optimistic that Nu Skin can dig itself out of this hole as we go through 2016 and Me & Youth roll out more fully.

Shares of Nu Skin have tumbled 13% to $27.31 at 2:11 p.m. today.

While United States Steel Corp. (NYSE: X) has clear and obvious benefits from a Trump presidency, it has already climbed over 35% since election day and has blown by 12-month consensus estimates of $22.5 a share by 27%. If Trump has been vocal about anything consistently, it has been his intention to slap tariffs on Chinese imports, with specific emphasis on Chinese steel dumping which he thinks hurts America, even though Americans are the ones choosing to buy it freely.

26-year-old Nigerian entrepreneur Iyinoluwa Aboyeji wants Silicon Valley to fund a future where Africa is included.

Aboyeji is the cofounder of Flutterwave, a payments API that makes it easier for banks and businesses to process payments across Africa. The service allows consumers to pay for things in their local currency; Flutterwave takes care of integrating banks and payment-service providers into its platform so businesses don’t have to take on the expense and burden.

U.S. investors just poured $10 million of fresh funding into it. This sizable round comes one year after Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan led a $24 million funding round into another Africa-focused startup, Andela.

Andela, also cofounded by Aboyeji, trains and connects African developers to global companies for work.

“It is critical that Africans are able to participate in the digital economy,” Aboyeji told CNN Tech.

More than half of global population growth over the next 30 years is expected to occur in Africa, according to a report from the United Nations. By 2035, the number of Africans joining the working age population is expected to exceed those entering it worldwide, the International Monetary Fund projects. There’s no universal payment method in Africa, and only 3% of Africans reportedly own own having a credit card. Other forms of payments include bank transfers and digital wallets.

top five stocks to buy: Jazz Pharmaceuticals Inc.(JAZZ)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By Teresa Rivas]

Jazz Pharmaceuticals (JAZZ) is trading up nearly 9% Thursday, thanks to its settlement with Hikma Pharmaceuticals over the firms patent dispute.

    Pixabay

As part of the agreement, Hikma will get to sell a generic version of the drug in question, narcolepsy treatment Xyrem, in 2023, for up to five years, while Jazz will get royalties on those sales.

Janney Montgomery Scotts Ken Trbovich upgraded the shares from Neutral to Buy on the news, and also increased his price target from $138 to $175. From his note:

While this comes about three years earlier than previous settlements with other generic filers, it eliminates the risk of an earlier launch. Six months thereafter Hikma may launch its own generic and others may potentially be able to launch as well. Importantly, Jazz will receive a meaningful royalty on sales, retain the right to launch its own AG, and can authorize other AGs after the initial 6-month Hikma period.

Jazz shares are up 8.9% to $153.2o at recent check.

top five stocks to buy: Daimler AG (DDAIF)

Advisors’ Opinion:

  • [By SEEKINGALPHA.COM]

Through an alliance and investment in Nissan in 1999 Renault currently holds 43% of Japanese car manufacturer Nissan. Since 1999 Nissan has performed well and currently Nissan is worth $43B. Nissan is attractively valued with a P/E of 6.9 a P/B of 0.92 and P/S of 0.41 and a dividend yield of 4.2%. Renault’s stake of 43% in Nissan is worth ($43*0.43=) $18.5B. This means that the other operations of Renault including its 73.3% stake in leading Russian car manufacturer AutoVaz and 1.55% stake in Daimler are valued at only $8.5B. The market value of AutoVaz is $644M which means Renaults stake is worth approximately $472M. Daimler (OTCPK:DDAIF) is worth $77.4B which leads to a value of 1.2B for the 1.55% piece owned by Renault.

Apart from the locals, the global competitors have also made some quick moves to make their presence felt in China. According to Reuters, Volkswagen (OTCPK:VLKAY) has recently signed a preliminary deal to set up a joint venture with China-based Anhui Jianghuai Automobile (JAC) for making electric vehicles. However, the deal has enough hurdles in its path. Also, Daimler (OTCPK:DDAIY) (OTCPK:DDAIF) is also readying some electric cars for China under the Mercedes-Benz brand.

Other manufacturers are also planning to produce and sell all-electric trucks by the end of the current decade – Reuters reports that Navistar International Corp. These are designed for shorter ranges than the Tesla semi but will likely see expanded ranges as battery technology advances.

The Wall Street Journal reported that, “Daimler plans to unveil an electric concept car at (next month’s) Paris Auto show. As I write this, the Paris Auto show has begun, where “Daimler Mercedes-Benz unveiled a battery-powered sport-utility vehicle, a direct competitor to Tesla’s Model X, which will have a range of 310 miles on a single charge and is slated to launch in 2020. The vehicle will be part of a new sub-brand of Mercedes called EQ”.

During last night’s speech to Congress, President Trump said very little about his much-anticipated plan for tax reform. One thing he did say was this:

We will provide massive tax relief for the middle class.

This promise was surely met by cheers from coast to coast, as it should have been. But it raises an interesting question: how does a middle-class taxpayer measure whether the President delivers on his promise? Do you simply view the tax cuts for the middle class in isolation? Or must the cuts be viewed in their larger context, relative to those bestowed upon the richest Americans?

Top 10 Blue Chip Stocks To Own Right Now

If you're like most investors, you've been led to believe that it's impossible to earn large amounts of investment income without taking big risks.   This idea – which you'll hear from many financial advisors and brokers – is simply wrong.   It is possible to earn double-digit annual yields on your money – safely – by selling options.   So why doesn't everyone use this strategy to earn consistent income streams? Below, you'll find the five common objections I've heard from readers or that I've found on the Internet… and my responses to them.   REASON NO. 1: Option-selling strategies like covered calls are too risky. You'll earn 5% in premiums, but if the stock falls 25%, you're still down big!   This objection is 100% valid. The way most people approach covered calls is risky. (If you're unfamiliar with covered calls, I encourage you to read this essay.) These folks buy risky stocks because risky, volatile stocks typically offer larger cash premiums than safe, stable blue chips. But most people end up losing on risky covered-call positions because their stocks fall in value.

Thanksgiving is almost here but the exit of both Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation (NYSE: PPC) and Smithfield Foods (NYSE: SFD) to focus on their chicken or pork businesses (the latter was also acquired by the Chinese) leaves just two big Thanksgiving turkey stocks, Hormel Foods Corporation (NYSE: HRL) and Seaboard Corporation (NYSEAMEX: SEB), for investors to consider. According to the American Far Bureau, a 16-pound turkey will (on average) come in at a total of $22.74 this year or roughly $1.42 per pound for a decrease of 2 cents per pound or a total of 30 cents per whole turkey, compared to 2015. The price drop may be a transition back to the norm as the significant bird flu outbreak last year hurt the nations supply of both turkey and eggs.

Coach (COH) rose to the top of the S&P 500 today after reports that Kate Spade (KATE) had put itself up for sale caused shares of fashion-accessory retailers to rise.

    Coach gained 2% to $35.14 at 4:20 p.m. today, while the S&P 500 dropped 0.8% to 2,249.92.

Wells Fargo’s Ike Boruchow lists Coach among the companies that could be interest in buying Kate Spade:

Today, the Wall Street Journal reported that Kate Spade & Co is considering a sale of the company, following pressure from activist investors given the volatile performance ever since Kate Spade became a mono brand company over 2 years ago. The article cites thatKate Spade has hired an investment bank and has reached out to possible buyers (including other retailers) althoughKate Spade has not responded. This comes at a time when brand houses like VF Corp. (VFC), PVH Corp. (PVH), Hanesbrands (HBI), Michael Kors Holdings (KORS), and Coach have said they are looking to make a branded acquisition, andKate Spade could be one of the strongest candidates. While other brands are seeing negative comps, pulling back on wholesale exposure or restructuring,Kate Spade continues to grow.

Coach’s market capitalization rose to $9.9 billion today from $9.7 billion yesterday. It reported net income of $461 million on sales of $4.5 billion in fiscal 2016.

When we examined historical transactions in the specialty retail sector, we noticed a wide range of valuations. Select relevant transactions to consider would be ~2x EV/Sales Coach (COH) paid for Stuart Weitzman, Samsonites acquisition of Tumi at 14x EV/EBITDA, 13x EV/EBITDA for Joseph A. Banks by Mens Wearhouse (TLRD) and Kerings acquisition of Volcom for 18x EV/EBITDA. We believe potential valuation could be as high as ~2x EV/ Sales and ~14x EV/EBITDA given Kate Spade’s unique growth profile to expand to ~$4bn in revenue (from $1.4bn in FY16) and improving profitability from 12% EBIT margin TY to at least HTeens-LDD, in our view (Coach is 18.7% and Michael Kors (KORS) is 21.3%). On these two metrics, Kate Spade would be valued at $21-23…

  • [By Ben Levisohn]

…formal language on deal prospects articulates process is proceeding in a timely manner with no definitive timetable and no assurance that process will result in a transaction. We still expect a deal to happen, but do lower our probability from 80% to 70% given the likelihood that potential buyer(s) and KATE have not agreed on a clearing price in earlier rounds of negotiation. We believe a bidder such as Coach (COH) does not want to overpay, is disciplined about managing ROIC, and returns and synergies split may be more rational at an offer price in the range of $22-25. We continue to believe KATE has a long global growth runway ahead with opportunities for store growth abroad, further expansion into non-handbag categories, and supply + digital synergy potential…We rate KATE Market Perform and lower our price target to $21 (was $27). Our updated valuation is based on ~10x our FY18E adj. EBITDA or $284mm.

Kate Spade (KATE) caught a bounce on Wednesday when the Wall Street Journalreported that it was actively seeking a buyer. Since then, we’ve learned that the fashion accessories retailer looks set to auction itself off to the highest bidder, with the process potentially beginning next month, with bidders potentially including Coach (COH) and Michael Kors (KORS). In a note today, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey analystPamela Quintiliano and team contend that Kate Spade could fetch as much as $23 a share:

While Canaccord Genuity, referring to Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), stated the potential drivers for growing interest in the stock are the increased contribution from the payment and merchandising technologies (PMT) and aerospace & electronics (A&E) segments, the firm still focuses on the near-term outlook for the fluid handling (FH) segment. However, the analysts think the recent increase in the stock price was driven by rising oil prices.

According to Canaccord, no major changes were made to their fundamental opinion for the fluid handling segment of the company. The analysts restate their Held rating on the stock with a price target of $60, citing uncertainty in the near-term outlook for oil prices and the outlook for the core valve business.
